Mr. Rotich is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from Moi University and later on proceeded to the Kenya School of Law where he attained his Post Graduate Diploma and was subsequently entered into the Roll of Advocates in 2014. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Rotich worked in the firms of Kelly & Co. Advocates as an Associate and later on at H.M. Mudeizi & Co. Advocates as a Senior Associate. In all his work stations Mr. Rotich gained extensive legal experience in matters dealing with Conveyance, Corporate law, Company Law, Banking & Securities, probate succession & Trusts among other diversified Legal transactions
Notable practice highlights includes but not limited to the following
1) Acted for various banks in the preparation and perfection of loan securities which includes Legal Charges, transfer of properties, Debentures, Chattels, Loan Agreements, borrowing resolutions, Deed of indemnities & Guarantees, Corporate Guarantees etc.
2) While at the firm of H.M.Mudeizi & Co. Advocates and acting together with the Senior Partner, successfully represented a Client in a project transaction whose cost amounted to approximately US Dollars 15 Million and which entailed the leasing and development of school premises to be utilized by an international school. The brief entailed taking part in negotiations, undertaking due diligence, preparation of a long term lease, preparation of construction contracts using the FIDIC form of contracts, preparation of Sub-Contractors Contracts.
3) Successfully acted for a Client who was developing residential apartments comprising two, three and four bedroomed units and situated in several multi storied blocks whose project cost was approximately US Dollars 30 million The brief entailed carrying out sub-division of the relevant parcel of land; preparation of construction contracts using the FIDIC form of contracts; incorporation of the relevant management company; preparation and registration of Leases for Each unit et
4) Attended to Board Meetings and Annual General Meetings of both Public and Private Companies in the capacity of a legal representative. In addition to this acted for various Clients in the restructuring of company shares, filing of returns, preparation of share purchase agreements, partnership deeds between various companies/persons etc.
